Tales From Rob's Backside.

So it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, and for good reason too. I’ve been tired and busy, working does that to you. I kinda feel like pampering myself a little, maybe having some of my creature comforts. A lime Otter Pop and a Mtn Dew in a ice filled cup.

That sounds pretty bad ass.

But one such as Rob cant just relax on heavenly treats alone, no. Rob likes to watch awesome tv. No, not regular tv, AWESOME TV. What kind of tv constitutes as awesome tv? Well other than Transformers cartoons, there happens to be a little show from the past that happens to be one of my all time favorites. Something special called ‘Tales From The Darkside’.

Which happens to be like one of the best shows ever.

So to prepare myself for this weekend, in which I plan to share my Otter Pops and Mtn Dew with my girlfriend (she likes the red ones) and watch awesome tv, I thought I’d share a little slice of awesome with you, my readers.

Tales From The Darkside is serious business. When it came on, you never knew what to expect for the next 30 minutes. Other than the most awesome intro ever (it’s an awesome tv show, just cant have an intro like Maude), it was totally random. One episode had an old man terrorizing trick or treating kids only to have the devil and a witch take him prisoner (and the old man was totally Blossoms Grandpa too). The next could have a fortune telling machine fall in love with a woman. Totally random and totally non-stop awesome.

One of my favorite episodes is called ‘Anniversary Dinner’ and it’s awesome (see a trend here). Essentially we are treated to a story of a sweet old couple who are about to have their anniversary dinner and open their home to a young vagabond girl. Then they cook her alive and eat her.

Tale from the Darkside will always be better than pretty much anything else on tv ever. I mean, let’s review the episode we just watched. Sweet, cute old couple. Full of love invites this runaway girl to stay over. Then they get her drunk and cook her alive.

They don’t have that kinda episodes of 90210, and if they did… I’d actually watch it.
