John DeLuna, Brian Kilby, Don and Diecast finish the TFCon Chicago 2016 third-party slideshow. Make Toys’ Downbeat looks like the Masterpiece-style Jazz to get, and Diecast is buying. TFC’s Trinity Force Road Caesar and Gangs of Devil’s Beast Wars Neo Unicron draw strong reactions. Mastermind Creations, X-Transbots and Toy World fill out a long list of Masterpiece-scale reveals.

Dinobot Combiners and Combiner Upgrades

G-Creations’ Dinobots combine into a giant Dinobot combiner. Don wants it if the price drops, but he has heard the combined form is unsteady. Transform Dreamwave shows upgrade kits for Combiner Wars Bruticus, Defensor and Superion. Brian calls them late, Don calls them costly and Diecast likes them. John praises the elbow plates that fill in combiner arms.

Toy World and Generation Toy

Toy World shows Masterpiece Coneheads at about $121 to $129, well under the $179 the crew sees for Thrust and Ramjet. Its Kup is a miss: Brian calls it too busy, and Diecast hates the feet. Its Masterpiece Cosmos has a beautiful robot mode. Generation Toy’s Gravity Builder Devastator gets Diecast’s approval, and it also shows a Masterpiece-style Jazz.

Menasor, Thunderwing and Unicron

Transform Mission’s IDW-style Stunticons and Menasor get passes all around. Gangs of Devil shows Thunderstorm, a not-Thunderwing that Don, a Thunderwing fan, rejects. It also shows a Beast Wars Neo Unicron. One host might consider it at $150, but the price won’t be that low.

TFC Hades, Piranacon and Road Caesar

Don owns all of TFC’s Hades, its Liokaiser, but hasn’t combined it yet. Diecast will stick with the Hasbro Liokaiser. TFC’s Piranacon colors look off to the crew. TFC also shows Trinity Force, a Road Caesar. Don may buy it, while Brian would rather own the original Road Caesar.

X-Transbots and Mastermind Creations

X-Transbots re-releases its Wheelie, now called Ollie, with fixes. It also shows a Cyclonus that Don is tempted by, plus Galvatron and Grapple, Inferno and Artfire. Mastermind Creations shows TFCon exclusives, a chrome Nova Prime, IDW Whirl, Overlord, Tarn and Helex. Its Masterpiece Trailbreaker and Hoist look simpler than Bad Cube’s. Brian finds his Ocular Max Ravage awkward and passes on Laserbeak, though Diecast might get Frenzy and Rumble.

Make Toys Downbeat and Cross Dimension

Fans Project adds female Lost Exo Realm Dinobots. Make Toys plans Iron Will, Hardhead, Apeface and a Masterpiece Cybertron Starscream. Its Downbeat is called the jazziest Jazz yet; Diecast is getting it and Brian probably will. Cross Dimension adds Nemesis Prime and Thunder Manus, a Powermaster Prime. One host admits he complains about third party but buys a lot of it. [Source: TFW2005]
