Toy Fair 2020 is over, and the crew looks back at Hasbro’s reveals, led by Earthrise Commander Class Sky Lynx and a Voyager Quintesson whose faces really move. Diecast saw Titan Class Scorponok in person and calls it bulkier than in photos. Don is let down by a Voyager Megatron that reuses Siege engineering. Diecast traded his way to four of the five Netflix War for Cybertron deluxes. The crew also puzzles over September dates for Earthrise wave 2 and a parade of Selects and Toys R Us Canada listings.

New York Toy Fair 2020: Transformers Earthrise Waves 2 and 3 Reveals
Hasbro’s Earthrise reveals include Commander Class Sky Lynx, Titan Class Scorponok and a Voyager Quintesson Judge. Also shown were Arcee, Snapdragon, Quintesson Allicon, Runamuck, Smokescreen, Double Dealer, Airwave and Fasttrack, plus new Micromasters and Battle Masters. Brian loves Sky Lynx, and Don still wishes for a purple Aerialbot-style griffin. John Warden demonstrated the Quintesson, and Diecast reports that some of its faces have moving mouths. Diecast says a Micromaster can be stored inside it. He found Scorponok bulkier and more impressive in person. Battle Master Slitherfang turns into a ramp and a snake. Don dislikes the Voyager Megatron, another tank sharing Siege engineering, when the line could have gone somewhere new. Chris thinks Hasbro simply did not want to devote many resources to it. Diecast had assumed the Allicon was a Voyager, but it is a bulky deluxe. [Source: TFRadio]
New York Toy Fair 2020: Generations Selects and Netflix War for Cybertron Wave 1 Reveals
The Generations Selects Spy Patrol set includes Knok and Skar, Double Dealer’s Powermasters. One host has already ordered it for $20. The Netflix War for Cybertron line brings Scrapface, Sideswipe, Chromia, Hound and a Decepticon Mirage as deluxes, plus Voyager Hotlink and Megatron. One host finds Hound boring. The Leader Ultra Magnus spoiler pack comes with Energon cubes hidden in a Play-Doh-style compound and an Energon-infused Battle Master Rung. The crew calls telling fans not to open it until the show airs in June a dumb idea. [Source: TFRadio]

Earthrise Wave 2 Dated for September
Diecast is shocked that wave 2, shown in February, is dated for September. One host notes wave 1 is due March 1 at Pulse and suspects the large Walmart-exclusive Netflix wave tied up factory time. Brian wonders if a longer gap is meant to let product sell through. A possible case breakdown makes Scrapface one per case, so one host suggests preordering from Walmart to build the combiner. Transformers MP-51 Arcee and MP-50 Tigatron Featured in Figure King No. 265
One host dislikes Masterpiece Arcee’s posing in the magazine, though another notes it references old Arcee art. The crew notes she finally has no heels. Don is looking forward to Tigatron as much as Arcee. Another host now plans to buy Tigatron because of the real tiger head on the chest. [Source: TFormers]

Rumored Transformers Clones, Hubcap, Exhaust, Thrust and SDCC Crossover
Toys R Us Canada listings point to a Clones two-pack, Selects Hubcap, Exhaust, Thrust, a Voyager Seeker two-pack and a Movie Masterpiece. They also list a possible SDCC crossover set. One host expects the two-pack to be Ramjet and Dirge, since Sky Lynx’s packaging mock-up shows all three Coneheads. More listings name Selects Bugbite, Rotorstorm, Hothouse, G2 Megatron and Black Roritchi. [Source: TFormers]
What We Got This Week
Diecast
Diecast’s Toy Fair swag bag held Netflix War for Cybertron Sideswipe, months before release. By trading with Star Wars and Marvel fans, he collected four of the five deluxes. Scrapface is his favorite, with Mirage close behind, now in opaque plastic. He loves the straight repaints with new names, and his full review is at tfradio.net/reviews.
Rob
Rob’s only gift this week was not Transformers.
Don
Don had nothing this week. He has checked Target daily for three weeks and found only Starscream and Grapple.
Brian
Brian found a full case of BotBots series 5 at Target and bought every set. He also got a second Earthrise Starscream on sale for $16.67, so he can display one in each mode.
