War for Cybertron Earthrise Runabout gets a reissue. Diecast opened the show with the Runabout reissue, the black-and-red Battlecharger that completes the pair alongside the already-reissued white Runamuck. The panel noted the original release sold for over $100 on the secondary market before Walmart’s white Runamuck cooled prices back down.

TakaraTomy offers an alternative after Target’s Starscream rollout stumbles. ExVee raised concerns about Hasbro’s botched Target-exclusive Starscream release, with Prowl a near no-show in US distribution and Insecticons only slightly easier to find. Diecast pointed collectors toward TakaraTomy’s own Transformers Studio Series TS-37 Starscream, part of the More Than Meets The Eye Collection, as a $64.99 alternative through BigBadToyStore. The panel agreed that price beats the $100-plus resale Starscreams are commanding, even if it stings next to the figure’s intended retail.

Blokees Wheels C04 “Heart of the Ark” adds a fourth wave. Diecast previewed the newest Blokees Wheels box set, highlighting the Chase Bumblebee variant based on the 2007 movie crossover two-pack rather than the standard 2006 deco.

Blokees Galaxy Version 11 “The Lost Light” ships with Fortress Maximus. The IDW-themed wave includes Fortress Maximus as its headline figure. ExVee flagged the flat colors on the included Lost Light Rodimus as a spot he’d like to see revisited in a future deco pass.

What We Got This Week

Alpha Magnus picked up a retailer-exclusive clear Unicron head and clear planet piece for a diorama build, along with the Transformers Jem and the Holograms Autobot Blaster set — his copy arrived with a bent (but salvageable) box. He also found Legacy Tailgate in white Windcharger deco, a clearance Vector Prime, and a Powermaster Joyride.

Spider-Bob showed off his Transformers Icons Optimus Prime, on display with a G1 Metroplex city backdrop, plus a 52 Toys B33 Blazing Spear third-party figure from the Chinese Zodiac-themed ox line.

David brought a Walmart-exclusive Cyberverse Blast Wave (a Bludgeon recolor), a customized Herald of Unicron with re-painted thighs and reworked shoulder pegs, a GameStop-exclusive Voyager Optimus Prime, and his own Transformers Jem and the Holograms Autobot Blaster set.

Don rounded out RFC leftovers with a second Onslaught to complete a Bruticus combiner, a $10 secondhand Cyberverse Megatron in G2 colors, a Cyberverse Tundra Prime, a Tobot Dozer construction vehicle, a Target-exclusive Swindle, an Unicron Soldier he found underwhelming in hand, a Titanium Series Rodimus Prime, and a set of SDCC Fatal Fluffies from Hasbro Pulse.

ExVee received the Transformers Jem and the Holograms Autobot Blaster set as a gift, and singled out the G1-style tech-spec packaging as a highlight before he’d even opened it. He also picked up a Herald of Unicron, a DNA Design chainsaw upgrade kit for the Fallen, a Powermaster Joyride, a Ross-exclusive Transformers One Studio Series Bumblebee, and a Target-exclusive Swindle.

Diecast kept it brief with a Fans Toys Sideswipe, a Masterpiece-scale third-party release he says looks strong in hand even before transforming it.
