Partial Photo of Titan Class Devastator
A photo taken through a window at a European trade show shows part of Titan Class Devastator behind a man in a suit. The crew can make out a normal Devastator structure, Scrapper as a leg and Hook’s mast at the shoulder. The box art appears to show six figures, which thrills the crew. A small box nearby sparks guesses about a Coneheads or triple-changer set. [Source: not found]
Hasbro Files a GoBots Trademark
The blanket filing even covers a GoBots tabletop role-playing game, which the crew would happily play. One host wonders why Bandai has not made Masterpiece Machine Robo figures. The crew notes that Hasbro owns the GoBots names, while Bandai owns the toys. Wish lists include Masterpiece Blockhead, Heatseeker and Puzzler, and Matt pitches the Power Suits.
Combiner Wars Hot Spot and Groove Revealed in the Transformers App
The updated app shows Hot Spot and Groove and starts voting on the fan-built combiner. Fans first pick the faction and a torso pair: Silverbolt and Powerglide, Optimus Prime and Blackjack, or Hot Spot and Groove. Limb choices include Offroad, a jet and a helicopter. Exvee expects later rounds to cover the name, deco and bio. Brian would love a train combiner like Raiden. [Source: not found]
Combiner Wars Legends Rodimus Revealed
Rodimus is a Legends redeco of the Blackjack mold. The crew says it looks fine but feels like a name-protection release. One host suggests the mold would make a good Road Hugger. [Source: not found]
New Photos of Takara Unite Warriors Superion
Better photos show Takara’s Superion set, with its own Slingshot head sculpt. Preorders run about $125 for all five figures. The crew still dislikes the yellow and the blue on Skydive. One host dubs it the “yellow snow Superion.” [Source: not found]
Takara’s Robots in Disguise Line Adds Generations, Animated and Prime Molds
Takara’s 2015 Robots in Disguise line adds molds Hasbro is not using, including Scoop, Rollbar and Animated Snarl. One host plans to import heavily. Another is let down by the Scoop mold but has preordered the black Optimus Prime with a trailer. New Lio Convoy photos show a head that seems to have lost its ear fins at the factory. The crew still wants it. [Source: not found]

MakeToys Announces the Re:Master Series
The series starts with RM-01 Cupola, RM-02 Gundog and RM-03 Hellfire: a not-Chromedome, a not-Hound and a not-Inferno. The crew suspects they are Masterpiece scale, and notes MakeToys has a good track record. One host says it must be great to replace his Fans Project Chromedome. [Source: not found]
DX9, Badcube and Unique Toys Reveals
DX9 shows a Legends-scale not-Cyclonus, which the crew finds weaker than its other small figures. Badcube is doing Masterpiece-scale Insecticons, and the crew hopes for clear yellow cockpits and a lower price. Unique Toys shows a not-Octane that looks decent in all three modes, after Matt joked last week that nobody wants Octane. [Source: not found]
BotCon 2015 Toys Spotted on a Podcast
Pete Sinclair appeared on another Transformers podcast with toys in the frame, likely BotCon exclusives. Exvee spots a Generations Springer redeco, the Arms Micron Breakdown mold and a Reveal the Shield Jazz in red and white. He also sees a blue Legends Swerve, a Targetmaster partner and a clear Packrat. The crew guesses Battletrap and Action Master Rad, and calls it an obscure but fitting BotCon set. [Source: not found]
Listener Question: Choosing a BotCon Package
Listener Tim plans to attend BotCon 2015 in Chicago and asks which package to buy. Brian usually goes as a walk-in or press, and notes that walk-ins can still buy the add-on souvenir toys. One host recommends the customizing class, which also gets you into the express pickup line. Don calls the Primus package the best value for its free exclusive. He suggests buying a friend’s loose box set or selling extras to cover costs. Another host suggests selling your box set at cost before the show to pay for the trip.
Metroplex or Metrotitan?
One host asks whether one of the three Metroplex releases should have been Metrotitan. The crew agrees a Metrotitan would have been more interesting, especially as the SDCC version.
What We Got This Week
Diecast got Unique Toys’ Albrecht, a not-Rippersnapper, for $95 from Chosen Prime. He loves how the combined-mode arm joint pulls out of the torso, and each figure comes with its own hands and feet.
