Generations Selects Star Convoy Revealed, Plus Seacon Snaptrap and Super Megatron
Star Convoy is a TakaraTomy release that heavily remolds Power of the Primes Leader Optimus Prime, with a very G1-looking Optimus Prime as the inner robot. It is up for preorder on Hasbro Pulse at about $80, around $15 less than Big Bad Toy Store. One host wishes the trailer had tank treads, and another wishes it were another Powermaster Optimus Prime. Super Megatron gets its first toy, clearly from the Titans Return Galvatron mold. A tease of Snaptrap, built from the Silverbolt and Scattershot mold family, sets off the crew’s Seacons-before-Unicron rallying cry. One host notes Turtler was the only Seacon with a personality in Masterforce, but the crew still wants the whole team. [Source: TFormers]
Star Convoy TakaraTomy Mall Photos Show Off the Matrix
New photos show Star Convoy’s Matrix, which fits in his chest and has a 5mm port so he can hold it. The crew agrees it looks like a crossing guard’s stop sign. [Source: TFormers]
MP-44 Convoy Optimus Prime 3.0 Delayed to August 31
The $450 MP-44 has been pushed back a month. One host would rather they take time to get it right, and another notes MP-43 was delayed too and still had issues. Several hosts are skipping it anyway. [Source: TFormers]
New Images: Siege Springer, Red Alert, Smashdown, Blackjack and Hyperdrive
Springer carries heavy battle damage. Chris thinks it works on the yellow, where it reads like real paint scraped off metal. The crew agrees Siege looks better in production colors than in renders. Matt says he can live with the battle damage if it stops after this line. One host preordered a full case to get three Refraktors and two Brunts, and wonders why the case has three Red Alerts. The crew likes Refraktor’s purple. Brunt’s orange barrel tip appears to be back, after an earlier stock photo showed it solid gray. [Source: TFormers]
Cyberverse Spark Armor Sky-Byte, Prowl and Starscream Packaging
Packaging photos confirm the Spark Armor figures are small, somewhere between Legends and Deluxe. One host is still getting Sky-Byte. [Source: TFormers]
Siege Comes to the Transformers Trading Card Game
Diecast explains that the third wave adds Battle Masters and Micromasters. Each pack will have one large character card plus one smaller character card for a Battle Master or Micromaster. It arrives June 28, 2019, and he hopes to unbox a box on video. [Source: TFormers]
Lorenzo di Bonaventura on a Last Knight Sequel and Michael Bay
One host explains the producer told /Film that Michael Bay is not expected to direct again. Asked about a Last Knight follow-up, he simply said no, reversing last week. The Bumblebee sequel will now be a Bumblebee and Optimus Prime movie instead of an Optimus solo film. The crew’s rule: assume nothing is happening until there is a trailer. [Source: TFormers]
TR-02 Commander of Stars: Unofficial Galaxy Convoy from Transform and Roll Out
Diecast finds this the funniest news of the week, since the company took three or four years to deliver its Masterpiece-style Jazz. One host adds that Infinite Transformation showed test shots of its Masterpiece Dinobot knockoff. [Source: TFormers]
Voicemail
Sean, known on Twitter as Don Boy, calls to mark one year of Don of the Day. His first drawing showed Don with Death’s Head II on the back of Supreme Class Jetfire.

What We Got This Week
Chris
Chris opened Legends LG-EX Big Powered and is disappointed. The retooling is impressive, but Dai Atlas has hollow shins and a wobbly torso, and the helmet hinge feels gummy. Soft new nylon parts make the Headmasters and weapons feel loose. The box art even hides Dai Atlas’s legs. The combined Big Powered mode, though, is surprisingly solid. He finds Siege Battle Master Traxodon unsatisfying, since its axe and dinosaur modes barely differ. From Hasbro Pulse he got Chromia for $10 and two more Sixguns, for three in all.
Matt
Matt loves Big Powered. His helmet hinge is fine, but he has the wobbly hips, and the drill tank’s front does not peg in. Roadfire is a bobblehead who can only hold his gun in his left hand, though the red plastic pops. He fixed Sonic Bomber’s loose joints with floor polish during the show. He also got Traxodon and Aimless.
Diecast
Diecast picked up a Dinobot pint glass at NJCC. He also got several Star Wars Transformers crossover figures, including a Darth Vader that turns into a Star Destroyer. He added Make Toys’ TFcon-exclusive G2 Screamer in its fixed version and the blue Diaclone-style TFcon exclusive. He bought a second Hoodlum from the Asian run, which adds a pad to stop hood chipping. His Siege Wave 2 Deluxes, Soundwave and Starscream arrived from Hasbro Pulse in six boxes. His friend Rob also found him a $3.99 Bumblebee fidget toy.
Triplet
Triplet got Big Powered but has not transformed it yet.
Jason
Jason opened the Siege Micromaster Laserbeak and Ravage set. Laserbeak is great, and Ravage is chunky. He likes Studio Series Bumblebee movie Optimus Prime, and Siege Ironhide, his first opened Siege Deluxe, feels well built. He also has the Furai Model IDW Optimus Prime kit to build, and MMC’s Skylynx, which he calls phenomenal.
