Transformers 35th Anniversary Supreme Commander Convoy Box Revealed
The set costs about 17,000 yen and includes a gold trophy version of the G1 Optimus Prime robot. It adds reproduction fan club items, including a membership card, a Commander Stars badge and a poster. One host has heard it needs about 2,000 orders to be made, with extras added past 3,000, much like Grand Maximus. One host is drawn by the Stars playset reproduction, since originals have decayed. Transformers 35th Anniversary 01 Convoy and Cybertron Optimus Prime Set Revealed
A Takara Tomy Mall exclusive pairs a G1 Convoy reissue with Studio Series 38 Optimus Prime in imitation G1 packaging. The Convoy appears to match the recent Walmart reissue. One host calls the roughly 10,000 yen price very reasonable for the pair. The G1-style box for Studio Series 38 tempts several hosts. [Source: TFormers]
Transformers Siege Omega Supreme Delayed?
Amazon moved Siege Omega Supreme from mid-August to early October, even for orders placed on Toy Fair weekend. Hasbro Pulse lists October 1. One host suggests Hasbro wants it closer to the holidays after Fortress Maximus and Trypticon ended up at discount stores. Another notes this is the third big-ticket Transformers delay this year, after MP-43 and MP-44. Others float tariffs or combining two production runs into one shipment. [Source: TFormers]
Studio Series Winner and an Ectotron Giveaway
The Studio Series 38 Optimus Prime and Studio Series 39 Cogman go to Primus Check, Jason DeJesus. The first draw was not following @tfradio, so a follow-and-retweet contest needs both. Next, RFC is giving away a sealed Ectotron over two weeks, with the goal of reaching 5,000 Twitter followers. Follow @tfradio and retweet the contest tweet to enter.

Review: Transformers Ghostbusters #1, Fun With Crossovers
Rob reviewed the first issue of the Transformers and Ghostbusters crossover and calls it fun. He says the Ghostbusters team writes the Transformers well and establishes character better than the main IDW books. Chris adds that the writers have a strong grasp of each character’s voice. Siege Alphastrike Counterforce and Phantomstrike Squadron In-Hand Images
Galleries show both upcoming Siege box sets. Rob wishes G2 Sideswipe in Alphastrike Counterforce had no battle damage. One host would rather the set skipped Slamdance, while another likes that use of the mold. The crew notes nobody has confirmed where either set will be sold. [Source: TFormers]

What We Got This Week
Chris got a secondhand Studio Series Shatter and calls it a troubled toy, with arms that fall off. He built Flame Toys’ Furai Model Bumblebee for review and likes its restrained, G1-like design and Action Master-style helicopter pack. Battle Master Smashdown changes more between modes than the others. Siege Red Alert from Hasbro Pulse has gummy joints and a car mode that will not close. Ectotron borrows Combiner Wars engineering but does its own thing, and the G1-style box impresses. Siege Jetfire is about 12 inches tall, with ratchets throughout and a hidden head compartment. Its weapons combine, including a split rifle like Wing Zero’s twin buster rifle. The jet mode is gappy underneath, but he would welcome several Commander Class figures a year. His Target order of Generations Selects Red Wing has poor quality control, but the color is a darker orange than Sunstorm.
Brian got Ectotron and is keeping it in vehicle mode for now. He also got Caliburst, Smashdown and Red Alert, and he found a Rescue Bots Arctic Rescue Boulder at Kmart.
Diecast got a replacement leg from X-Transbots and moved the missing silver engine piece onto his Overheat. Magic Square’s Legends-scale Optimus Prime with a trailer is his new favorite Legends Optimus. He also got X-Transbots Boost, their Windcharger. Caliburst, Ectotron, Smashdown and Red Alert round out the haul. Siege Jetfire’s fin arrived with paint rubbed off by the box, and he wishes it were a bit bigger without the accessories.
Rob received Siege Springer from Paladin for his birthday and loves the robot mode, though the car mode still fights him. He also got Brunt and likes both modes but not getting between them. Bluefin sent him a Flame Toys Furai Model Thundercracker for a TFormers text review.
Don picked up Springer, Jetfire and Greenlight. Wave 3 has not turned up in his area, and his Target has nothing.
Matt finally found the 2007 BotCon Thrust at a price he was willing to pay. He also got Smashdown, Caliburst and Greenlight, which he calls not a good toy but loves for the obscure character. Springer from Hasbro Pulse is nearly his perfect Springer, except for the battle damage painted over details.
