The Transformers Beast Wars Maximal Collection anchors this week’s preorder talk. The Hasbro Pulse exclusive seven-figure set runs $219.99 and pairs Voyager Class Optimus Primal, Dinobot, Tigatron, and Rhinox with Deluxe Class Cheetor, Airazor, and Rattrap. The panel compares the deco to the earlier Predacon Collection and debates whether it’s worth double-dipping if you already own the individual Beast Wars versus releases.

TakaraTomy’s Missing Link line brings two new Soundwave releases: D-01 Soundwave with Scout Robo in classic toy colors, and D-02 Soundwave (Anime Type) with a Cybertronian-mode Laserbeak. The hosts spend significant time on the roughly $30 price gap between the Japanese releases, weighing import duties and accessory differences.

What We Got This Week

Don dove deep into the Korean tobot market this week, picking up Busking and Takyon (and untangling a diamond-versus-gold-scale mixup with his seller), an IU Best Sidewinder with a striking night-motif deco, and the BotCon-exclusive Rex Kaiser from the Metal Cardbot line, traded for a spare Missing Link Soundwave.

Spider-Bob picked up his very first Transformer all over again — a vintage Sludge, the toy that started his collection back at age 14.

Alpha Magnus and David worked through a mix of Transformers and crossover finds, including Godzilla blind-box figures, a Fans Hobby Fireman (the G2/G1.5 Scorch analog), and a second-printing Armada Optimus Prime. The group also picked through a wave of GI Joe x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover figures now that Playmates has lost the master license.
