Don

Don gets the 30-inch Big-Figs Optimus Prime from Target and likes its size and presence. Dark Energon Cybertronic completes his glowing-line-deco purchases, and Studio Series 86 Blitzwing wins him over with its colors. Bingo Toys Newton, an Afterburner-inspired figure, impresses him with its articulation, size, and stylized design. He has not transformed it yet. Craftsman Toys Skybreaker, inspired by Ultra Magnus, adds light-up features and an enormous hammer to his display plans.

Diecast

Diecast also gets Big-Figs Optimus Prime and marvels at how much plastic it offers for $35. He buys Super7’s Walmart “Apology Tour” fallen Optimus Prime in VHS-style packaging largely for the box. Mastermind Creations Cronus (MMC) becomes his standout: a Vector Prime-inspired robot with a time-machine vehicle mode, opening doors, a detailed interior, and wheels that fold for hovering. Matt notices the missing Mr. Fusion detail, but Diecast still calls it one of his favorite recent third-party figures.

Brian

Brian opens two Upper Deck The Transformers: The Movie 40th Anniversary card packs during the other hauls and finds the same ten-card base set in each. His bonuses include Stellar System Hot Rod and Cyclonus, a red Anniversary Galvatron numbered 217/1986, and a blue Energon Galvatron; he likes the cards but wishes he’d understood the format before buying two packs. He also picks up Super7’s Target-exclusive fallen Optimus Prime in VHS-style packaging and two boxed Generation 1 finds: a complete but yellowed Fortress Maximus that fills a collection gap, and a boxed Scorponok whose condition disappoints him. His Stern Transformers pinball topper arrives, too. Missing Link Grimlock is his favorite arrival — the finish feels like childhood, and the added articulation briefly defeats familiar transformation muscle memory. He loves the new joints and chest lock and looks forward to the anime version.
