2027 Transformers Line Reportedly Becomes Megatron Rising, With Multiverse Megatrons and “Corrupt” Autobots
A new leak from board member JT Prime says the 2027 line is now Megatron Rising, not Age of Evolution. In the reported premise, multiple Megatrons from different timelines team up and combine. Brian admits it reads like the fake rumors he posted online decades ago. He still wants it as a show, a toy line, and a movie. Exvee notes GoBots Megatron is the only named combiner member so far. Matt and Exvee suspect Leader Transmetal Megatron, a reported Kingdom retool, is a coincidental Megatron. Reported listings include Leader Scorponok, Collapse, Deluxe Hydraulic, a stylized G1 Mirage and a Leader Astrotrain in Takara Tomy space-shuttle colors. A “Corrupt” capsule adds Reactivate-mold Optimus Prime, Prowl, Bumblebee and Slug as Shattered Glass-style homages. This remains an unverified leak. [Source: TFW2005]
Takara Tomy Previews a Packed October Reveal Slate
Takara Tomy’s new slate includes a Kiss Players cassette set with Glit, Sundor and Rosanna. Exvee prefers this Rosanna’s pink deco and may buy it to keep his SDCC set sealed. Brian is “all in” on Dramatic Capture Series Dinobot Island Part 2 with Slag and Sludge. Matt wants a better look at Age of the Primes Guzzle, a Brawl retool with a new head. The slate also brings Cybershark, Alpha Bravo, Breakaway and SkyGuard. Rob notes that New Legends NL-09 is officially Dark Amber Leo Prime with Blue Bolt, an Airazor-mold partner. Studio Series Transformers One Soundwave, Cyclonus and Age of Extinction Optimus Prime round it out, along with MPG Twincast and Rewind. [Source: BWTF]
Takara Tomy Teases a New Wild King Product
Rob points to preview photos of what appears to be a Wild King-based homage to Energon Optimus Prime. Brian calls it a great-looking Grand Convoy. Exvee likes that the unit numbers sit on the core figure, so any set of limbs combines correctly. Identity and pricing are not confirmed yet. [Source: TFW2005]
Threezero Announces MDLX Fallen Coronation Starscream
The 1986 Movie Edition Starscream is a non-transforming die-cast figure in his gray, post-coronation look. Exvee jokes it captures the two and a half seconds before Starscream crumbles to dust. Diecast just wants the crown. [Source: TFW2005]
Threezero Announces MDLX Hot Rod, 1986 Movie Edition
Don already has it on preorder to display beside his MDLX Rodimus. Brian thinks it looks awesome but is passing. Exvee calls it overdesigned. [Source: TFW2005]
Cyberworld Air & Sea Starscream Reaches U.S. Retail
This Energon Surge Ultimate Cyber Changer is reported as a retool of The Last Knight Knight Armor Turbo Changer Megatron. Don saw it at $29.99 and passed. Brian loves how weird it is. [Source: TFW2005]
Takara Tomy’s Liokaiser Adds an Illustrated Outer Sleeve
The Japanese HasLab Liokaiser adds a region-specific outer sleeve over the same package. Matt, fresh off his second Liokaiser, calls it annoying. [Source: TFW2005]
Killerbody Opens Preorders for Movie Rediscovery Ravage
The Revenge of the Fallen Ravage is a non-transforming display figure about a foot long. Exvee assumes that measurement includes the tail, “because that’s often how you measure cats.” [Source: TFW2005]
Walmart Schedules Its Next Collector Con for October 8
Don warns that the sooner you order, the sooner it gets canceled, and Diecast dubs it “Walmart Cancel Con.” Matt predicts the toys will reach shelves before preorders ship. Exvee expects Retro Deluxe Bug Bite on the Studio Series 86 Bumblebee mold, plus Exhaust. Don and Exvee hope Bug Bite gets enough purple tampos. Matt wants a duller white on Exhaust. New 2027 Age of Evolution Retail Listings Name Demolishor and Ironhide
TFW2005’s nune found listings for Demolishor, Ironhide, an unknown Voyager and an unknown Leader. Exvee guesses the Leader could be Astrotrain. Brian calls Megatron Rising a far more distinctive line name. [Source: TFW2005]

Unix Square Shows Combot Nemesis Prime

Stern’s new code for Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye adds a split-flipper versus mode. Player one is Optimus Prime and player two is Megatron, each with a health bar. Brian calls it the slowest fighting game you’ll ever play, but fun to watch. [Source: MAACA]
What We Got This Week
Chris
Chris picked up Studio Series 86 Cyclonus and calls it 99% the Cyclonus he wanted when Kingdom Cyclonus came out. He praises the colors, the improved face sculpt, the extra height and the new knee tabs. His one complaint is the open spaces in vehicle mode where the foot covers used to be. He paid about $24 after Amazon points and says he never needs another G1 Cyclonus.
Diecast
Diecast agrees on Studio Series 86 Cyclonus, though the long legs still catch his eye. He opened a pack of the Transformers: The Movie trading cards from Target and pulled special Optimus Prime and Coronation Starscream inserts. He also picked up the Blokees Advent Calendar. From Blokees Galaxy Version 11 he pulled the special IDW Rodimus in Lost Light colors.
Matt
Matt calls Studio Series 86 Cyclonus everything he wants. He measured it at about five-eighths of an inch taller than Kingdom and confirmed live that it stands just taller than Galvatron. He also found Hot Wheels Transformers GT Scorcher and El Segundo on Walmart clearance for $15 each. He calls El Segundo the best Hot Wheels crossover so far.
Don
Don loves Studio Series 86 Cyclonus too. He found the Generation 2 Dinobots box set with Snarl and Slug at Ross for $54. He also got Commander Class Armada Jetfire, which he calls chunky, with the Requiem Blaster Mini-Cons. His caveats are tricky wing pegging in jet mode and visible screw holes.
Rob Clay
Rob pulled Bludgeon and Scourge from Blokees Galaxy Version 11 and liked Bludgeon more than he expected. He also found a carded Combiner Wars Viper on AliExpress for $8, with its Decepticon logo printed upside down.
John DeLuna
John praised the Commander Class Armada Jetfire Mini-Cons and the figure’s solid heft.
Brian
Brian bought a Blokees Action Edition Optimus Prime direct from Blokees, a 364-part kit he admits he may never build. He also grabbed the Target-exclusive Studio Series Insecticons on sale but likes them less than expected, while he loves his new Prowl. His vintage pickup is a Diaclone blue-cab Powered Convoy/Magna Convoy from Italy to pair with his red-cab Powered Convoy.
