Stan Bush, the voice behind The Touch, joins Radio Free Cybertron to talk songwriting, his career and his upcoming 12th album. New Target DCPI numbers point to more Revenge of the Fallen toys, including a five-pack combiner and Leader Bumblebee. Masterpiece Ghost Starscream heads for preorder, and Universe Special Edition deluxes surface as Hasbro Toy Shop exclusives. The crew also debates whether Transformers recolors are a stroke of business genius. This show marks RFC’s debut as the official podcast of TFormers.com.
RFC Joins TFormers.com
Brian, John DeLuna, JD and XV reintroduce the show for new listeners, now that RFC is the official podcast of TFormers.com. They thank Jack and the TFormers.com team. Brian also plugs the new Superhero Time podcast, New Soundwave and RFC Throwback, and the finished Transformers: The Movie parody part four.

Target DCPI Numbers Reveal New Revenge of the Fallen Toys
New Target system listings include a Cyber Ops Bumblebee, a Revenge of the Fallen battle pack, a five-pack combiner, deluxe movie collections, Legends two-packs and an Animated laptop. The crew guesses the $20 five-pack combiner could be a Legends Devastator data-entry error or a cheaper Constructicon recolor. Brian says he is happy with his 2007 prototype Camaro Bumblebee. The crew agrees the Human Alliance Bumblebee is the best Revenge of the Fallen Bumblebee. [Source: not found]
Universe Special Edition Deluxes Land at Hasbro Toy Shop
Hasbro Toy Shop has Universe Special Edition deluxes, originally Australian and Asian market releases, including Overkill, Megatron and Dragstrip. One host would consider Dragstrip for the mold. Another wishes the Grimlock mold had been Trypticon or Beast Wars Dinobot instead. [Source: not found]
Masterpiece Ghost Starscream and Sunstorm Bust Up for Preorder
Big Bad Toy Store lists the clear Ghost Starscream Masterpiece at $124.99, due in June. A G1 Sunstorm bust, limited to 600 pieces, is $49.99. The store also has the Hasbro Revenge of the Fallen Devastator set at $119. The crew jokes that the Sunstorm bust should be radioactive. [Source: Big Bad Toy Store]
This Day in History
JD notes that the UK Marvel Transformers comic ended with issue 332 on January 4, 1992. A Beast Wars Metals episode premiered in Japan on January 5, 2000. Dreamwave collapsed on January 4, 2005. The crew contrasts Simon Furman’s lasting career with Pat Lee’s reputation and recalls the letdown of the first Dreamwave G1 issue.
Stump Monzo
Fort Max asks for a Beast Wars episode featuring Cheetor’s tail gun. XV answers “Fallen Comrades” and lists “The Probe,” “Possession” and “Law of the Jungle” too. Once again, nobody stumps Monzo. Send questions with a verifiable answer to stumpmonzo@tfradio.net.
Toy Talk: Transformers Recolors
XV bought Skyfall because it homages his favorite G2 Cyberjet, Skyjack, not because he likes the mold. That leads into a debate over recolors that beat the original toy. Picks include Tripredacus Agent, Cybertron Cannonball, Robots in Disguise Scourge and Big Daddy. Brian owns four Big Daddys, two still sealed. The crew decides recolors are a smart way for Hasbro to reuse molds, even if outsiders find them strange.
Interview: Stan Bush
Stan Bush says the line “Kid, you’ve got the touch” from Iron Eagle II inspired the song. He likes that it speaks directly to the listener about believing in yourself. He calls The Touch over the top but still loves it, along with Dare. His 12th album should arrive in early spring on Frontiers in Europe and L.A. Records in North America, with Sam’s Theme as a bonus track.
Stan explains that Michael Bay pulled The Touch from the first live-action movie weeks before release, for reasons never explained. He also recalls his Emmy-winning song for Guiding Light, his Olympics theme Capture the Dream and The Touch in Boogie Nights. He describes playing The Touch on Guitar Hero with fans at BotCon. A letter from a fan who said The Touch and Dare changed his life means the most to him.
Twitter Theater: Transformers Zone
Rob joins the show after a day of plumbing trouble. The crew revisits Transformers Zone and likes it for being trippy, with caped combiners and Violenjiger as the most metal Transformer ever. Talk turns to molds they always buy: Skyquake, Rotorstorm, Armada Overload and Armada Jetfire.
Wrap-Up
Brian asks listeners to fill out the PodTrac survey at tfradio.net. Rob highlights his weekly shopping guide blog. The crew shares Twitter handles and points TFormers.com listeners to the new snack food forum.
