This Week in History
Thirty years ago this week, three G1 episodes premiered in the US: “The Girl Who Loved Powerglide,” “Sea Change” and “Hoist Goes Hollywood.” Brian calls it possibly the best or worst week of Transformers ever. He loves the Powerglide episode, and Don likes Sea Change for its Seaspray focus. [Source: TFWiki]

Cityneon Secures Rights to Transformers Exhibitions and Events
Cityneon gets Transformers exhibition and event rights worldwide, except Indianapolis and Japan. The crew wonders if “events” covers conventions, and what that means for Fun Publications and BotCon. One host notes a company is often the last to know when a contract is not renewed. Nobody can tell what Cityneon actually does. [Source: TFormers]
The Transformers Experience 2016 From Victory Hill and Hasbro
TFormers writer Jack covers a Transformers Experience coming in 2016. Rob compares Victory Hill’s work to TakaraTomy’s road shows in Japan. The crew finds the press releases say a lot without saying anything. [Source: TFormers]
First Image, Pricing and Release Date for Titans Return Fortress Maximus?
The leak shows Fortress Maximus as a double Headmaster, with Spike inside Cerebros inside Fort Max. The listed price is $179.99, with an exclusive Titan Master. The crew spots Metroplex parts, such as forearms and thighs, moved to new places. They suspect the image is distorted and the info out of date. Diecast expects Fort Max to sell like wildfire. Hasbro 2015 Investor Day: Micronauts Return as a Transformers Subline
Hasbro’s investor presentation shows Micronauts returning under the Transformers brand. It also shows a placeholder logo for Transformers 5. Diecast is too young to care, and Brian loves just saying “Micronauts.” Another host traces the line from Microman to Transformers. [Source: TFormers]
MP-21R Red Bumblebee New Pictures
New photos show MP-21R Red Bumblebee. The host who wrote it up for TFormers thinks an official Cliffjumper is still a while off. The crew urges third parties to make a Cliffjumper head in the meantime. [Source: TFormers]
Sega’s Transformers Human Alliance Super Deluxe Cabinet
The Super Deluxe Human Alliance arcade cabinet has an 80-inch screen. Brian says it is roughly the size of a child’s bedroom. The crew expects it at Dave and Buster’s. [Source: TFormers]
Platinum Edition Trypticon Now in Stock on Amazon
Platinum Edition Trypticon is $159.94 on Amazon at recording. One host notes Hasbro had to remake several molds to make it complete. Diecast hopes for a Black Friday deal. Don already owns a complete G1 Trypticon he bought for $23 at a flea market. [Source: TFormers]

BoldForms BF-01 Gladius Photos
BoldForms’ Gladius is a Masterpiece-scaled Megatron homage that becomes a tank. The crew likes the sculpt, but Diecast warns BoldForms’ first figure, Lone Wolf, needed more polish. [Source: TFormers]
Perfect Effect PC-06 and PC-07 Devastator Upgrades
New photos and a release date arrive for Perfect Effect’s Combiner Wars Devastator upgrades. Several hosts say they are Devastator-ed out. Matt says the repeated delays are not helping, with Unite Warriors racing to add elbows. [Source: TFormers]
Fans Toys Reveals Hoodlum and Sovereign
Fans Toys reveals Hoodlum, an unofficial Masterpiece-scale Hot Rod, and Sovereign, its Galvatron. The crew likes Hot Rod better. Sovereign’s shoulders look too big, though it is clearly an early 3D print. Brian still prefers DX9’s Galvatron. [Source: TFormers]
DX9 Hulkie Production Sample Photos
DX9’s Legends-scale Devastator comes in three two-packs at about $50 each. Matt likes the idea of a pocket-sized Devastator. Others balk at $150 and think the Mixmaster is too small. [Source: TFormers]
This Week on the Network
Show notes now live at tfradio.net slash the episode number, starting with tfradio.net/443. Being Awesome with Rob Springer 34 is a Q&A, and RFC Mini-cast 35 has John, Matt and Don on the Fortress Maximus leak. RFC Reviews covers Robots in Disguise Megatronus and Mastermind Creations’ Spartan. On TFormers, Exvee reviews Transformers 47, and Rob reviews Combiner Wars Prowl and kicks off Combaticon Awareness Week.
What We Got This Week
Chris got the Combiner Wars deluxe Combaticons. Vortex and Blast Off are straight recolors. Brawl’s lower torso does not lock together, so he tips backward, and early reports suggest every copy does it. His tank mode and gunmetal head sculpt are clever, but Chris says to avoid him for now. Swindle is the surprise: about 90 percent new parts and the best of the wave. Vortex’s biceps put stress marks on his elbows.
Diecast got Masterpiece Tracks, Mastermind Creations’ Spartan and Robots in Disguise Megatronus. Tracks looks nice, but the panel holding his head never locks in. Spartan is awesome but scary tight. Megatronus is a decent tank, though Diecast dislikes the battle-mask head.
