Flame Toys Shows a Furai Model Devastator
Diecast also spotted a Flame Toys Furai Model kit Devastator on Twitter. He says nobody ever gets Mixmaster’s foot right, and the Scrapper leg takes some stylistic license. It might be the first Flame Toys kit he buys. Don may get one too, and the crew guesses $40 to $50 if it scales with the other kits. [Source: not found]
Shizuoka Hobby Show 2019: Masterpiece Blackarachnia in Color
Dengeki Hobby’s coverage of the 58th Shizuoka Hobby Show includes color photos of Masterpiece Blackarachnia in robot mode. Brian dislikes Masterpiece display bases, but hers has a web, and she may need it. Her small feet and heavy upper arms could make her top heavy. Seeing her makes Brian want a Masterpiece Silverbolt, since the two characters are tied together. Brian says he is over Masterpiece and feels the figures now cost more than they are worth. He is sticking to the Beast Wars Masterpieces as his lane. One host admits he would not buy them without the podcast. One host wishes Takara would finish the 1984 cast instead of redoing Optimus Prime. The crew expects a new Masterpiece Seeker mold sooner rather than later. [Source: TFormers]

Iron Factory IF-20SP Tyrant’s Wings Spinel
Iron Factory shows its Legends-scale Tyrant’s Wings Spinel, which reads as another Redwing. One host finds Iron Factory figures good but scary at first, because the tolerances are so tight. One host prefers the size of DX9’s figures, and another names Magic Square as a favorite. Another really wants a Redwing on the Classics Seeker mold, which he owns in about two dozen versions. He calls the Siege Seeker mold not his favorite but is glad to finally have a Voyager Seeker. [Source: TFormers]

What We Got This Week
Diecast got Mechanic Studio’s Legends-scale Sideswipe and Red Alert, which he thinks may be another name for Mech Fans Toys. He also got his second FansToys Roadking, with plans for a full sealed set later. He finally opened Siege Voyager Starscream and likes it more than expected. The chest can pop off, but it normally stays put.
Brian opened his Encore Sky Lynx, and the fresh white plastic, tight joints and working electronics beat his old junker. Filling Classics gaps, he got Inferno, and the Henkei version is on the way. He also picked up Henkei Ironhide, whose darker red helps the toy. John showed a comparison that convinces Brian he needs both the Henkei and Generations Ratchet.
Rob said his only robot pickup lately was not Transformers.
Matt said his only pickup this week was not Transformers.
