More Netflix War for Cybertron Deluxes in Walmart’s System
Zobovor spotted more names attached to the Netflix deluxe assortment in Walmart’s system. They are Bumblebee, Quintesson, Wheeljack, Impactor, Deep Cover, Red Alert, Barricade and Elita-1. Brian vouches for him as an old RFC friend who voiced the show’s early liners and its movie parody. The crew guesses Bumblebee could be an Earthrise Cliffjumper retool and the Quintesson an Alicon redeco. Elita-1 could come from Arcee and Barricade from the Earthrise Datsun body. One host hopes for cleaner, brighter decos than the heavy battle damage. One host jokes the dingy Wheeljack plastic should have been saved for Exhaust. [Source: alt.toys.transformers]
Generations Selects God Neptune Teased
The Super Megatron comic featured King Poseidon and hinted at God Neptune in its final panels. Now Generations Selects has teased the set. Chris wonders whether it will be five or six figures and expects a box set. He guesses late December or early 2021. Brian teases Diecast that Seacons before Unicron is over. HasLab Unicron Production Update #2
Hasbro shared a T1, or first test, sample in random plastics, plus a cat bite test and staged photos. It also showed the steel molds for parts of Unicron’s head, which the crew rarely sees. Chris stresses that this sample is very early and that many more test shots will follow. Hasbro showed a 26-inch cube box with a UPC on it. Chris expects that box to be the shipping carton and the packaging. Diecast thinks a nicer box will be inside. Diecast hopes for a bonus figure, as the Sail Barge got. One host predicts the crew will have Unicron by episode 725. [Source: Hasbro Pulse]

What We Got This Week
Don
Don found a second Netflix War for Cybertron Mirage at Walmart. He loves that deco. His girlfriend also found Mirage and Scrapface near her family. He got Cyberverse Hammerbyte from Hasbro’s eBay store for $14.99. He also picked up the Netflix Voyagers Megatron and Ultra Magnus while working overtime.
Diecast
Diecast got his last Seacon. His big Taobao box arrived with everything unpacked and thrown in loose by the shipping consolidator. It held two Fans Toys Sheridans, a knockoff Masterpiece Hot Rod and a knockoff Movie Masterpiece Jazz. It also had Magic Square’s Delta Magnus and a knockoff NewAge Bugbite. The spare Sheridan he planned to resell is now scuffed and boxless. With shipping costs rising too, he may leave Taobao.
Chris
Chris finally got a Brave Death Garry Gun from Big Bad Toy Store, about 25 years old with yellowed factory tape. He also got three Nonnef Productions upgrade kits for Earthrise Wheeljack. One follows the G1 toy, one follows the cartoon, and one previews Exhaust. The launchers needed assembly, and the thick sprue gates left some marks. He says the parts fix Wheeljack’s looks, but the car mode can’t store them. He also got Nonnef’s orange Omega Supreme track panels to use as a photo backdrop.
Matt
Matt got Power of the Primes Inferno for about $14 on Amazon and plans a Shapeways connector for it. He is still waiting on his Seacons from TFSource. He has Super Megatron preordered from three places and wants two, one to keep boxed.
Rob
Rob’s pickup this week was not Transformers.
John
John got a mid-1990s Toy Fair catalog binder with all its inserts and has not opened it yet. He has started noticing Japanese and European trade show catalogs too.
Brian
Brian bought a Transformers Super Soaker in Transformers Universe packaging. Diecast also sent him a care package with sticker tweezers and an Autobot-symbol cable protector.
