The first official look at Transformers Legacy brings Voyager Bulkhead and Deluxe Skids, and the crew is underwhelmed. Hasbro Pulse Con’s lineup promises Legacy’s first wave, the Transformers Hall of Fame and a Unicron companion pack.
The crew remembers Jack Angel, voice of Astrotrain, Smokescreen and Ultra Magnus. Brian corrects last week’s episode number, and Matt and Diecast prepare for TFCon.
Really Episode 749
Brian explains that last week’s episode was mislabeled 749 in the rush to post it. This is really episode 749, and next week is 750. Brian will be on the Hasbro Pulse Con fan wall, while Matt and Diecast head to TFCon in Baltimore the same weekend.

Transformers Voice Actor Jack Angel Dies at 90
Jack Angel, a G1 voice actor born in 1930, has passed away. One host notes he voiced Astrotrain in God Gambit and Smokescreen in The Gambler, two of that host’s favorite episodes. He also voiced Ramjet and Ultra Magnus, which put him in all of season three. Don and another host spar over season three, but everyone agrees Jack Angel did a phenomenal job across many characters. The crew notes that losses like this will come more often. [Source: Animation Magazine]
Hasbro Pulse Con 2021 Lineup
Hasbro PR sent the Pulse Con lineup for October 22 and 23. Guests include Patton Oswalt, Matthew Lillard, the Power Rangers Dino Fury cast and Weezer. The Transformers panel brings Ioannis Lefkaditis, Vince DiCola and Kenny Meredith, plus Rise of the Beasts updates and a home VR game. The fan product panel, with Breaking Benjamin’s Ben Burnley, will reveal the first Transformers Legacy wave. It also covers the 2021 Transformers Hall of Fame and a Unicron companion pack for HasLab Unicron. Brian says few fans care about celebrity guests, and that fandom creators would serve better. The new Hasbro Pulse app gets mixed early reviews. [Source: not found]
Official First Look at Transformers Generations Legacy Figures
Official photos show Legacy Voyager Bulkhead and Deluxe Skids. One host’s hot take is that he likes Bulkhead best. Another calls it a throwback to old-style remolds, a Bulkhead head on an unrelated body. Several hosts see Movie Hound in the vehicle mode. The crew expects a Beast Hunters Optimus Prime retool, and one host spots a Mini-Con port on Bulkhead. Skids shares parts with Transformers: Prime Bumblebee and looks hollow in the middle. Both figures carry clear Energon weapon parts that peg together. Two hosts feel little excitement for the new line, while Rob has simply deprioritized Transformers lately. The crew recalls feeling the same about Siege before it won them over. [Source: TFRadio]
Road Rage Contest Winner
Sideswipe1101 wins RFC’s Road Rage giveaway. Brian reminds listeners that contests are open worldwide unless he says otherwise.
What We Got This Week
Chris got a second Kingdom Road Rage for about $12 shipped by stacking Target discounts. Now he has a spare for when the clear plastic on his first one shatters.
Rob finally got Generations Selects G2 Ramjet and calls it a really nice-looking figure. He will wait for the Coronation Starscream to round out the mold.
Don finally got Kingdom Road Rage from Target after a delay caused by his move. On impulse, he also bought Cyberverse Sludge, his third Cyberverse Dinobot.
Brian got Kingdom Waspinator, delivered mid-show by his nine-year-old. His wife Kim found a Transformers 3D sticker story kit at Dollar Tree. Chris sent him a flocked Panther figure in a perfect packing job. After 22 years of looking, he found the infamous G3 Inferno knockoff as an incomplete junker for $20. A mint-on-card one sold for $10 three weeks earlier.
