HasLab Deathsaurus funds, and Hasbro shows a painted prototype as the stretch goals begin. Masterpiece MP-56 Trailbreaker’s in-hand photos disappoint, and Brian realizes it is too late to cancel his Amazon Japan preorder. Rise of the Beasts viral posters made of QR codes appear in the UK ahead of an expected first trailer. TakaraTomy’s Transformers x Doraemon crossover and a Megatron silver coin join the list of things Brian is not buying today.
On Giving Tuesday week, Brian reminds listeners that a $3 doll can make a small child’s holiday. He asks them to donate toys locally or through tfradio.net/elf.

HasLab Deathsaurus Funds
Deathsaurus funded around lunchtime Monday, and the crew expects to reach the cannon stretch goal soon, with the throne further out. Hasbro debuted the painted prototype in a short livestream on November 29. Don asks whether Deathsaurus is a weaker value than Victory Saber at the same price. One host notes Deathsaurus alone stands as tall as Victory Saber combined. Bromo relays from the stream that putting all the engineering into one figure allowed more complexity. One host prefers Star Saber’s gimmicks, while another says Victory Leo has never mattered to him. [Source: not found]
Next Crossover: Transformers x Doraemon
Rob explains Doraemon is a robot cat from the future and a 50-year Japanese institution, roughly the equivalent of a Snoopy crossover here. The toy comes with a book and is listed on Amazon Japan for 13,000 yen with a June 28, 2023 release. Brian says it falls outside the scope of his collection and he is not buying it, not today anyway. Masterpiece MP-56 Trailbreaker In-Hand Photos
The crew hoped Trailbreaker would look better in hand, like MP Ironhide did, but these are in-hand photos and they look worse. Don calls it too much Hoist and still prefers the Fans Toys version. Chris suspects the design was compromised to also produce Hoist, which will look off in the other direction. Brian may be done with Masterpiece after he finishes the trainbots. Don asks for affordable Masterpiece Insecticons, and another host says the G1 toys are good enough. One host predicts Brian forgot to cancel his Amazon Japan preorder, and Brian confirms it is already too late. [Source: TFW2005]
Rise of the Beasts Listings: Spark Racers and New Transformation
JT Prime posted new Rise of the Beasts assortments. One host expects Spark Racers to evolve the Energon Igniters gimmick from the Bumblebee movie line. The “New Transformation” subset is still unknown. Another is excited for an Optimus Primal mask that turns into a figure. [Source: TFW2005 boards]
Rise of the Beasts Viral Posters Spotted in the UK
The posters show the Maximal and Autobot logos built from QR codes that lead to Paramount Pictures UK’s YouTube channel. Big Screen Leaks says the first trailer may arrive December 1. The crew looks forward to hearing Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal. [Source: Twitter]
CosCups: Transformers Cosplaying Cups
Numskull, makers of the rubber duck Optimus Prime and Megatron, now offers Transformers cups. One host wishes they could have used the Mighty Mugs name. Brian thinks Kim’s Cricut could make something similar. [Source: Numskull]
Super7 ReAction Wave Six Ships Soon
Wave six, including Unicron, is shipping soon. Diecast ordered only the Unicron and skipped the Quintesson. One host loves the card art, joking it fat-shames Unicron. [Source: Super7]
Segway Adds Bumblebee Go-Kart and C8 Kick Scooter
Segway expands its Transformers lineup after the Megatron scooter. The crew says it missed a chance at a Hot Rod go-kart. Don remembers a Hot Rod ride-on promotion, and another host points to the Coleco Power Cycle. [Source: Segway]
New Zealand Mint Adds a Megatron Silver Coin
It is $100, and Brian is not buying it. One host wishes the coin itself used the toy box art shown on the packaging. [Source: New Zealand Mint]
What We Got This Week
Chris
Rusted Cross from Discord sent Chris an extra Weaponizer, which he wanted for more parts to combine.
Don
Don got Legacy Skullgrin and Dead End from Pulse, leaving him one figure short of Menasor. Legacy Inferno and Transmetal 2 Megatron arrived from Pulse in the same box. He also ordered an R.E.D. Optimus Prime on sale and has a R.E.D. Galvatron on the way. With leftover TFSource points, he bought Make Toys Sky Clone. It joins his Takara and Hasbro Acid Storm and Sunstorm as his Masterpiece-style Rainmakers. He sold the Baroness from his H.I.S.S. Tank Megatron set for $30.
Rob
Diecast sent Rob Legacy Pointblank with Peacemaker, which looks far more cohesive in person than in photos. Rob is tempted to paint the windshield white like Hey Mickey did. He notes the car mode feels compressed and the door panels pop off, and he wishes the hips were stronger. He loves Peacemaker as a simple G1-style Targetmaster. He also got Legacy Impactor with a Fossilizer for about $33. He calls it the most Marvel UK comic-accurate Impactor yet, with colors that match the painted UK comics.
Diecast
Diecast got the G.I. Joe x Transformers H.I.S.S. Tank Megatron for about $58 from Amazon Warehouse. The plastic feels like an upscaled knockoff, but with low expectations, he likes it.
Brian
Brian’s Legacy Armada Starscream is a little loose and floppy. He says it is not meant for him, since he collected Armada as an adult and the original toy is better. He wishes Legacy would rework Energon designs instead. Another host wants a Voyager Energon Rodimus, and Rusted Cross asks for Robots in Disguise 2015 Strongarm. The crew speculates about an Animated-inspired deluxe Prowl in the listings.
