Diecast has walked past its sign for over a year and was surprised it actually opened. The crew joked it is leftover HasCon gear, and Diecast is hoping for an Energon burger. One host noted it is the mall that hosted the last BotCon. [Source: TFW2005]
Legacy Armada Galvatron Behind the Scenes
Mark Maher’s behind-the-scenes photos make Legacy Armada Galvatron look good, but the crew is not sold. Don says the flat blue and eggshell deco is no proper homage, and one host’s Legacy Armada Megatron is headed to eBay. One host checked and found the colors are fairly accurate to the animation, if not the original toy. [Source: Mark Maher on Instagram]
Transformers Legacy United Wave 3 Deluxe Found at US Retail
Deluxe wave 3 Hot Shot turned up at a GameStop in Ohio, and Party Wallop has also been found at GameStop. One host who used to work at GameStop explained how its distribution centers move stock so fast. Swoop has preorders at GameStop, Big Bad Toy Store and CMD Store, and one host doubts he will ever find one in a store. [Source: TFW2005]
Hot Wheels x Transformers New Die-Cast Cars Revealed
Hot Wheels revealed Transformers-inspired die-cast cars, mostly Bay movie vehicles. Don dislikes the generic licensed packaging, and one host thinks the Bumblebee, a hot rod custom Beetle, looks off. The crew agreed Hot Wheels surely has a plain Volkswagen Beetle it could have used. [Source: TFW2005]
Possible First Look at Legacy Star Raider Road Pig
A photo of what appears to be Lockdown’s instructions shows Road Pig in vehicle mode for the Junkion part interaction. It confirms Road Pig as a presumed Crashbar redeco with no visible mold changes. One host still worries it could be dropped, as the Velocitron Voyager Hot Rod was. [Source: TFW2005]

Symbiote Studios revealed a battle-damaged Sludge plush, recreating Devastator’s double axe-handle from the 1986 movie. One host already bought it. The crew noted that boutique plush makers at BotCon and TFCon likely did this style first, but their buyers will keep buying. [Source: TFW2005]

What We Got This Week
Diecast
Diecast got Titan Class Tidal Wave and is a little disappointed. The boat legs do not tab together well, and half of it fell off the first time he picked it up. He wishes it had Mini-Cons, and for $200 he wanted a plate to cover the small boat and more play features like Fans Hobby’s version. He loves the Target Optimus Prime with Bullseye and found a $8.50 Hot Wheels truck whose shopping cart works as Roller. He also got the Fans Hobby Armada Jetfire homage, completing his set with Overload and Optimus Prime. Perfect Effect’s Hotspot from Ocular Max is the third piece of that Defensor. He also got Deluxe Infernac Universe Nucleous, a Magnus recolor that nods to Inhumanoids.
Don
Don got the Target Optimus Prime with Bullseye but has not opened it after an afternoon MRI. Thanks to GameStop, he also has two of the four Party Wallops.
Matt
Matt got the Deluxe Insecticons two-pack from Amazon, Barrage and Chop Shop. Barrage’s exposed mushroom-peg shoulders bother him less in hand than expected, and the dark green and lemon-lime yellow look sharp. Chop Shop comes with more guns than he can hold.
Chris
Chris also got the Insecticons two-pack, plus Legacy Chromia on a Walmart rollback, both unopened. His Nonnef order brought the new Windblade sword and wing filler kit, a Triggercon upgrade for Windsweeper and one for Crankcase.
Rob
Rob got the Yolopark AMK Starscream kit from Chris, which poses nicely after a little sanding at the waist. Diecast gave him the Yolopark Rise of the Beasts Optimus Prime for his birthday. At about eight inches, it has great paint, detail and articulation, though the knees are a little weak.
Brian Kilby
Brian got the Dr. Wu Galvatron and Grand Galvatron two-pack and found them smaller than expected. From Suruga-ya came a Telemocha Dinobot with its DVD, in a box drenched in hot sauce that soaked through two of three plastic layers. The same order brought a carded Transmetal Rattrap with perfect chrome.
