Galactic Odyssey set four pairs the Earthrise Barricade with a returning Punch-Counterpunch for $40 on Amazon. The crew picks through TFcon’s virtual third-party panel, where Don falls for a World War II battleship Jetfire. Earthrise Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker, Runamuck and Bluestreak arrive across the crew. Brian finds the new R.E.D. figures boring, and the Elf on a Shelf Warmer toy drive continues.
Elf on a Shelf Warmer
Brian reminds listeners that the Elf on a Shelf Warmer toy drive is under way. Buy a toy, photograph it going into a donation box and share it with the hashtag. The tfradio.net/elf wish list sends toys to Brian to donate, with no affiliate credit. One host notes Walmart has Wave 1 Netflix deluxes on rollback for about $17, a good place to start.

Galactic Odyssey Set Four: Barricade and Punch-Counterpunch
The fourth Galactic Odyssey set pairs Barricade with Punch-Counterpunch for $40, due in March. Brian set up tfradio.net/criminal for preorders. The crew is surprised to see the same Punch-Counterpunch again so soon, but it has been unavailable for a while, so a rerun makes sense. One host is not thrilled to buy it again just for Barricade. It is no longer clear whether the Barricade will also be a TakaraTomy Selects release. An Ausformers reveal was pushed back to next week. [Source: not found]
TFcon’s Virtual Third-Party Panel
TFcon held its virtual third-party panel. Brian has skipped the panels for years, but this one drew more buzz. Don is most excited about a World War II battleship Jetfire in the vein of the Bumblebee movie’s war flashback, since naval Transformers are rare. A third-party Star Convoy based on the Selects version does not grab Brian. X-Transbots showed a Deathsaurus. Diecast is glad Make Toys is back, with a Starscream reissue, an Acid Storm preorder at TFSource and plans to finish its Coneheads. Many fans liked Mastermind Creations’ Rung with a scooter. The crew agrees third parties cannot produce new products fast enough to fill an annual panel. [Source: not found]
What We Got This Week
Chris
Chris’s Amazon preorders for Earthrise Sunstreaker and Trailbreaker finally arrived. Sunstreaker builds on Wheeljack’s engineering with mostly new parts. The yellow paint and plastic mismatch looks far better in hand than in photos, and the windshield can seat flush. Trailbreaker is a smoother Hoist retool with a camper shell that becomes a backpack to hide the roof lights and cannon.
Diecast
Diecast found Runamuck at Target and likes the robot mode and tight joints, though the hood and roof colors are off. He also got Trailbreaker, Fasttrack and Sunstreaker. He added Dr. Wu’s Scalpel and Scraplets, DNA Design’s DK-16 upgrade kit and Transformers: Battlegrounds for Switch. He also got Studio Series Cliffjumper and a Jada Toys die-cast Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Starscream three-pack. His last pickups are Transform Element’s cel-shaded Optimus Prime and Galactic Man Shockwave for $35.
Matt
Matt’s only pickup is Earthrise Bluestreak, his first of the mold and his favorite Datsun brother. The clear plastic lower legs terrify him, and his shoulders and roof do not seat perfectly, but he loves it. He is glad he skipped the Siege versions.
Rob
Rob got Earthrise Bluestreak thanks to Mark Alley. Through Chris’s link he also got Galactic Man Shockwave, which pairs well with the corpse Optimus Prime.
Don
Don’s girlfriend found ReAction figures at a Target out of town, including the Megatron on the rainbow card. He bought the last three R.E.D. figures at his Walmart and hopes the line improves with later waves. A markdown got him Earthrise Airwave, and he ordered two Bluestreaks through a link from Icon45. He still prefers Smokescreen.
John
John got DNA Design’s upgrade kit for Power of the Primes Optimal Optimus in the black and gold of the convention exclusive. It adds armor, larger wings, a transformable wheel and guns, and he calls it great but not cheap.
Brian
Brian got two Earthrise Bluestreaks, one to open and one to keep boxed, and his My Little Prime arrived. Kim found more Transformers stickers and three packs of Transformers crayons. He finds the R.E.D. Soundwave, Megatron and Optimus Prime boring. He calls them Action Masters without the play sets or character, at $20 next to a $30 transforming Earthrise Megatron. He does like the accessory trays. His favorite is a mint-on-card Walmart exclusive blue Transmetal Rattrap from Transformerland.
