Super7 shows its second wave of Transformers Ultimates: Megatron, Grimlock, Tracks and Bludgeon. Grimlock wins the crew over, and the chat tracks down the origin of Megatron’s odd flask accessory.
The crew then shares mostly spoiler-free thoughts on War for Cybertron: Kingdom, the best of a disappointing trilogy. In the haul, Chris reviews the Worlds Collide set and Selects G2 Ramjet, and Brian finally finds a Studio Series figure at retail.

Super7 Transformers Ultimates Wave 2
Super7 revealed the second wave of Transformers Ultimates: Megatron, Grimlock, Tracks and Bludgeon. One host never expected to want any of these, but Grimlock’s expression, apron and tray sell him completely. Grimlock also comes with Wheelie to ride on his back. Tracks is the Action Master version, so he comes with a blaster partner instead of Raoul. Don has only Tracks on order. One host is tempted by Bludgeon, calling it the closest thing yet to the G1 Pretender shell, though the plain skull face seems off. Megatron looks spot-on but almost boring. His flask stumped the crew until Blade Raider in Discord traced it to a flashback in The Return of Optimus Prime. [Source: Autobase Aichi]
Studio Series 86 Wreck-Gar and Thrust Hit Walmart
Studio Series Voyagers Wreck-Gar and Bumblebee movie Thrust were spotted at Walmart, starting in Missouri. Thrust reportedly packs two per case to Wreck-Gar’s one. The crew hopes a Hot Rod variant listing means the eHobby black Hot Rod. A Cyberverse Deluxe Cheetor also turned up in a store in Chile. Several hosts vent about scalpers and empty shelves. War for Cybertron: Kingdom Thoughts
The crew keeps it mostly spoiler-free and points listeners to a longer TFU.info podcast with friends of the show. One host calls Kingdom the best of the trilogy, since it tells one focused story across its six episodes. The crew agrees it looks better, with real color, and the characters have more personality. Rattrap, Airazor and Blackarachnia stand out, while Dinobot falls short. Brian echoes Hooks that many moments feel unearned, because these are not the Beast Wars characters. Diecast finds the multiverse and time travel confusing. The crew dislikes an off-screen death as tasteless. Brian’s verdict to a casual fan was simply not to watch it. One host thinks the crew is just too old for what it is trying to do.
What We Got This Week
Chris got the Worlds Collide set from a friend who found it locally. Fangry has loose knees, so he displays it in monster mode, which locks together well. Bumblebee is an odd sedan, and Chris wishes it had been an Animated Bumblebee reference. Nemesis Primal’s purple and teal pop, with a great battle-mask head. Blackarachnia in her card art deco is the best deco ever, despite loose hips. He also got Selects G2 Ramjet with a good QC draw and vibrant purple.
Diecast got Dr. Wu’s tiny Optimus Prime, about World’s Smallest Transformers size, plus their Soundwave and Beachcomber. He also got a Target T-Rex, Generations Selects Star Convoy from Taobao and Origins Bumblebee, which he loves. His big pickup is Titan Class Ark from Target, which a staffer pulled from the back for him. He also has a third Fans Toys Springer.
Don got the T-Rex and the Worlds Collide set. Commander Class Rodimus Prime from Target arrived today, still unopened.
Rob got Origins Bumblebee, thanks to Don, and is very happy with it.
Brian got the T-Rex and the Kingdom spoiler pack, which he may never open. A Walmart preorder of Thundercracker arrived after he had found it in store. He bought the Bumblebee and Stinger two-pack out of retail desperation. He also got the Diaclone Tri-Rambler, which reminds him of Leader-1 in motorcycle mode, and calls Diaclone undeniably premium.
