Transformers Tuesday: Selects Legacy Targetmaster Toy-Based Cyclonus And/Or His Armada

Generations Selects Cyclonus arrives in G1 toy colors with a Battlemaster partner as Nightstick. The stickers are optional, as they were on Selects Galvatron. One host loves it and calls the mold nearly perfect in execution, and is glad the eyes are painted this time. Another host is wary of Hasbro sticker quality and wants something besides Battlemasters for future Targetmasters. Rob would like TakaraTomy’s Legends Targetmasters to come over. He also notes this mold could redo the old Shattered Glass and space pirate exclusives. [Source: TFRadio]

Leaked: Studio Series ROTF Sideways

A leaked Studio Series Revenge of the Fallen Sideways looks bad, though it may be mistransformed. One host notes a Twitter comment that Studio Series still has life beyond the 86 movie. The crew agrees options like Wheelie, Mudflap and Skids remain. [Source: Autobase Aichi]

Leaked: Plucked Chicken Dinobot, AKA Toy-Colors Dinobot

A leaked toy-colors Dinobot looks like a plucked chicken, and the crew admits it creeped them out. One host says the reddish tone makes the molded bumps look like skin. Brian notes leaks like this are why Hasbro prefers controlled reveals on its streams. One host plans to buy it anyway. [Source: Autobase Aichi]

Leaked: Images of Diaclone Twin Twist

Images of a Diaclone-colors Twin Twist leaked from a video featuring an allegedly stolen copy. It belongs to the upcoming Amazon exclusive Wreckers subline with Topspin, which fills the slot the Golden Disk Collection held. The crew loves it, and one host spots the correct Wreckers logo. Leaked: Images of Toy-Deco Scorponok and Skywasp

Screenshots show toy-deco Scorponok and Skywasp from an upcoming Target four-pack. Scorponok appears to include both a show-based head and a toy-accurate head. What We Got This Week

Brian got Legacy Galvatron from Amazon but has not opened it. From Mandarake he bought back the Transformers Collection 13 Targetmaster Hot Rod, a copy he gave away years ago. He also got the C-78C Crystal Hot Rodimus to go with his black one.

Matt had nothing in Transformers this week.

Rob got Legacy Blaster and is not feeling it. He says a figure that turns into a rectangle should not take this much work to line up. Eject does the job well, and Rob prefers the Titans Return Blaster on a couple of fronts.

Don cleared out his pile of loot from Big Bad Toy Store. He got Studio Series Bumblebee movie Wheeljack and Ratchet, plus Studio Series 86 Perceptor. Ocular Max’s first two G2 Bruticus pieces, Vortex and Swindle, have their combiner parts built in. He also got the third piece of Moon Studio’s combiner, Iron Arm, which weighs over two pounds boxed. His best pickup is Legacy Black Zarak. He closes with the black version of Banana Force’s Sharpshooter, its take on Dark Fire Convoy.

Diecast got a third-party Blaster with a flat paint finish that he finds a little peculiar. He also got mini figure sets: Blaster with Skywarp, Starscream with Seaspray, and Powerglide with Thundercracker. He picked up another Fans Toys Rig, an upgrade kit, and Gigapower’s Swoop with a stand and accessories. From Deep Discount he got Kingdom Tigatron, another Scorponok and an Optimus Prime key holder.
