TakaraTomy’s official Transformers Twitter account shared several photos of a production sample for MP-52 Starscream recently. Buyers can get a good look at what they’ll be getting once preorders start coming in later this month. Besides an overview of the modes, including the “gerwalk” mid-transformation state, a few of the accessories are shown, like the drill attachment from “The Core” and the claw and meteorite specimen from “Cosmic Rust”. Starscream packs in a good deal of accessories to be sure.

There has been some misgivings expressed though over the apparent choice to cast the whole robot mode chest-canopy as a solid piece of clear plastic, which then is painted over in grey. The photos shared suggest color matching may not be perfect in practice, and it’s hard to believe that a multiple-piece cockpit chunk using both opaque and clear plastics would have been impossible within a Masterpiece budget.
