Studio Series Wreck-Gar Leaks
Studio Series Wreck-Gar leaked on a collector’s Instagram behind a rough comic-art filter. It is a Voyager, and a retool into another Junkion is reportedly planned for next year. The crew loves it and jokes that Matt’s Junkion pile will grow. One host notes older Junkions never go obsolete, since Junkions can look like anything. A tease of Studio Series Grindor, a minor Blackout retool, also surfaced. [Source: not found]
Transformers Deck Building Game Updates
Renegade Game Studios’ Transformers Deck-Building Game is up for preorder at $45, with a promo pack bonus on Renegade’s own store. One host ordered direct with a sign-up discount. Renegade confirmed a single-player option alongside five-player support, and the rulebook PDF is already online. The game arrives in August. One host vouches for Renegade’s Power Rangers game community as a good sign. [Source: TFRadio]
Extremely Early Looks At Masterpiece Skyfire And Shouki
A page in the new Generations book showed a raw Masterpiece Skyfire prototype and a CAD model of Shouki, one of the Trainbots. One host believes Masterpiece Raiden should combine to about Titan Class Devastator size. The Skyfire prototype stands about two MP-10s tall. Don asks whether fans with Fans Toys Phoenix will pay Masterpiece prices for legitimacy. He suggests Phoenix for anyone who just wants a good Skyfire. Price guesses run from 45,000 to 55,000 yen. Premium Finish Line Revealed – And Possible Future Figures?
TakaraTomy’s Premium Finish line starts with movie Volkswagen Bumblebee at 3,800 yen and Siege Optimus Prime at 5,800 yen. Siege Optimus carries cartoon-accurate battle damage. One host finds the Bumblebee surprisingly premium. A leaked solicitation shows six waves from October to March, decoded by a TFormers forum member. The likely list includes Studio Series 38 Optimus Prime, 2007 movie figures and Revenge of the Fallen Jetfire. Generations entries look like more Siege, including Megatron and Ultra Magnus, which draws a face palm from Matt. [Source: TFRadio]
MPM-12 Optimus Prime (Bumblebee Movie) Officially Revealed
MPM-12 Optimus Prime from the Bumblebee movie was officially revealed with a Matrix accessory. It is compatible with the MP-44 trailer. Chris struggled to find anything to say about it, and its truck mode still shows cat ears. An official photo with the trailer later vanished from TakaraTomy’s site, likely because it lacked a not-included disclaimer. [Source: TFRadio]
Generations Selects Artfire Leaked
Generations Selects Artfire comes with Nightstick, another Battle Master redeco of Firedrive, plus two clear blue blast effects. Brian bought a G1 Artfire just before, and the week’s thumbnail jokes about it. Nightstick resembles Fracas, so fans can swap weapons with the Siege Skywarp set. The crew expects Stepper next, though no listing shows it yet. [Source: TFRadio]
More Leaks? Sure! RED Collection, Kingdom Gets Extended, And More!?
Kingdom is reportedly extended thanks to strong sales, with repacks of Huffer and Warpath and figures like Slammer and Pipes. The big news is Kingdom Voyager Blaster, which reportedly comes with Eject. One host thinks that makes Blaster smaller than Soundwave overall. New R.E.D. listings include G1 Galvatron, G1 Shockwave and Transformers Prime Optimus Prime and Megatron. The crew vents about the R.E.D. line’s lack of scale and price-point flexibility as a Walmart exclusive. [Source: TFRadio]
What We Got This Week
Diecast added a third-party LED kit to HasLab Unicron’s head for about $20 shipped, so the eye glows green. The crew uses it to explain why factory electronics cost far more at scale. He also touched up Unicron’s jaw with a silver Sharpie.
Rob had only a non-Transformers pickup this week.
Don got the Fans Toys G2 Slag in green, the Scoria version, through a friend’s deal. He wanted it before any reissue drives prices up.
Brian got G2 Snarl in green, a complete vintage Transformers board game and a yellow Cliffjumper toward completing 1984. He rebought the SDCC 2013 Nemesis Prime and a Head Warriors Optimus Prime with great paint but a rough plastic finish. A Titanium Rise of Rodimus Prime set came from Taiwan, and Robot Masters Mirage arrived mint in box for $30. He also picked up Generations Selects Volcanicus, plus carded Generations Red Alert, Classics Cliffjumper and BotCon 2005 Flamewar from Don. His centerpiece is Diaclone Reboot Battle Convoy, which he calls a super premium toy that never stops being a toy.
