Two small items came down the pipe today. And by small we mean tiny images that show not very much.

First was our first look at Studio Series 86 Wheelie. This low res image is part of a standard stock photo set, but unfortunately we only have the image that shows the robot mode alongside packaging, so the appearance of the vehicle mode is a mystery. While we can glean little at this stage, at least we can say for sure it must be better than the last Studio Series 86 Wheelie, yes?

This afternoon, Wheelie was followed by the sneak first-look at Selects DK-3, the Diaclone Blue redeco of Earthrise Trailbreaker. This came by way of a piece of SDCC advertising by Entertainment Earth. The image we have currently shows the truck mode and a little bit of the robot. The image does make it possible to see that DK-3 still has the original Trailbreaker headsculpt. This is not exactly a surprise, but it is similarly disappointing as DK-2 Guard still having the regular Ironhide head.

While we don’t know anything for sure about this, the placement with Entertainment Earth’s SDCC promo materials strongly hints that this may be revealed during the show as a see-now, buy-now type product, that will be in stock as soon as the reveal takes place. We can hope, at least; it would be nice to get something shown off officially and not then have to wait months to get it.
